May 1 Medesano Italia we are stopped here for the next 3 days to recuperate. My friend has a bad knee and his back is sore. We are hoping to have some days of rest and
hope this will help. The road is hard and not every pilgrim can do this
but if you are determine you can do it.  Pilgrims are rare, we have met
a grand total of 5 going to Rome and 3 coming back from Rome. We have walked over
900 kilometres  and about 500 or so left. Still hoping
to get to to Rome at the end of  may. In the meantime we are sampling some wine of the
regions that we are passing also  trying some of their food, I don't think that I will lose weight
on this trip. Dee Bon voyage,  June and Angela Buen camino and if I forgot anyone I wish you all the
best.

  2. Oh Lise,
I am so very sad to hear that you have problems with health! Is it Salvatores back and knee??
I can believe your camino is very, very hard to go. It's so long-duration!! Your bodies must be very strong and it is very hard to your psyches also, I think.
I hope that the recuperate-time helps and you can go on walking.
I am stil very, very proud of you two - members of my Camino-Family !!
All the best and BIG HUG

  4. HI Lise

Your are off the Bell curve, even for pilgrims. However, of all the Friday walkers, I would say you have the most stamina so even though things have been tough, I doubt anything less than divine intervention would stand in your path to Rome. By the way are you going to spend some time in Rome, I hope you do.

You are an inspiration to me.
